Tarah Edwards exited the home she shared with her family. It was an exquisite two story building, the colour of red fall leaves. She slipped out the elaborate oak door onto the stairs beneath, her pale green dress swaying. The smell of rain mixed with fresh air was inviting to her. Stepping onto the cobblestone street, she hastily turned around the corner. Creeping down the cool alleyway, she removed something from her purse. It was a cigarette, stolen from her brother's stash. She elegantly raised it to her lips, and quickly striking a match, she lit it. Letting the smoke drift gracefully into the air, she glimpsed down the alley, making sure that no one was there. Her family would disown her if anyone found out, it was incredibly unladylike for a woman to smoke, but she didn't care. She wanted liberation from her constricting life, and with that she gazed hopefully at the foggy midday sky.

Elizabeth was walking along Victoria Street, to go away to house. When a hidden woman saw in one alley. Appeared, and thinking that he was hiding of anyone enter to help. It headed for the alley when she saw the young woman more closely. Was going with a simple green dress and when looked at her more closely saw that a cigarette was smoking.
Elizabeth missed that a girl so young will be smoking. Approached to her and said. " Hello, are you well? "

Tarah had begun to drift off before a woman appeared beside her."Oh, hello" she responded, attempting to hide her cigarette. "I didn't see you there. I am fine thank you." She examined the mysterious woman with a mindful eye. "My name is Tarah, Tarah Edwards"

Elizabeth saw the young woman was hiding the cigaret, she smiled for his aptitude, looked at the large and rambling alley and looked at the young woman again.
" Nice to meet you, Tarah. I´m Lady Elizabeth Malory. Might you say to me that it is you who do in this alley alone? It is dangerous. "

"Pleasure to meet you as well, Lady Malory." She said staring into the woman's eyes. "And I'm just out for some air", the hand holding the cigarette firmly placed behind her back. "I dont find it too dangerous, seeing as I live nearby."

Elizabeth looked with a smile in his lips at the young woman, seeing as she kept on hiding the cigarette. " As keep on hiding the cigarette you will burn yourself the dress? ". She said laughing.

Having been caught, Tarah removed her hand from behind her back. "You don't mind?" She asked questioningly, "Most people disagree with a Lady smoking."

Elizabeth laughed when it heard her. " I have spent all my life fulfilling the orders of my parents and after my husband... And now, sincerely I´m full of so much orders. Why cannot a woman smoke, when the men do it without nothing says nothing to them?. "Elizabeth continued thinking a moment and continue an impulse asked her. " Do you have another cigarette? "

"You know, I'm glad you feel that way. For a second there I thought you would be appaled by my smoking."Reaching into her purse Tarah pulled out another of her brother's thin cigarettes. She handed it to Elizabeth, then offered her a match.

"Not, in my life I´ve smoked, but always is the first time " Said while the thin cigarette was placed in the mouth and was aspiring while she was matching it. When the smoke entered his lungs, she thought that he was dying, since aspired too loudly and began to cough and it is to spill tears. " My god, since the men can smoke this? ".

She pated Lady Elizabeth on the back, making sure she was alright. "I thought that at first too. But you get use to it." Tarah face had lightened up a bit, she had finally found someone who didn't really care how unladylike she was being. "Perhaps you would rather come inside for some tea instead?"

Elizabeth aspired deeply, the tears of the eyes were cleaned and she aspired again of the cigarette with more gentleness.
" I believe that I will get accustomed to this ". She said while was smoking again. Looked at Tarah with a smile in his lips.
" When we end would like to begin to drink a tea. " She said her smiling.

Elizabeth little by little could as swallow the smoke without choking, saw that there were a few boxes rested on the wall and approached them to sit down.
" Well, for a few days I´ve moved here, earlier was living in the field with my husband and since it sees ". She Said while his black dress was indicated. " He died one month ago and came to his house of the city. "
