Bittersweet Symphony Leila sat next to the The Serpentine and let her fingers dip down and trail through the water for a few moments. A couple ducks followed her hand's movements and she laughed before pulling her hand back and drying it on the very edge of her dress. The ducks swam around for a little bit, but soon they started swimming back to the rest of their family. It was getting late and they were tired. Leila sighed and laid down on the grass, staring up at the sky. It was dark but the sun wasn't totally gone and a few stars were visible. She fiddled with the end of her pink sleeve. Her dress was a little light for fall but she liked the cold and the dress. She closed her eyes and sighed in contentment as the night got colder. Leila folded her hands gently over her stomach. A smile graced her lips.

Robert Knight had had a very vexxing day. His baby sister Amelia was nearly suspended from school for speaking to a stranger in public and he had to pay almost double the tuition to keep her in school untill her debut in a few months. That called him away from a session in the House of Lord and his bill had been declined. He wasn't angry just incredibly frustrated and had decided to go and take his stallion Aries out for a ride.
He had waved his groomsman Tom off and had decided to go it alone. Hyde Park was a favorite place of his and it was quite safe. Although Robert was always prepared, just in case. The night air was incredibly soothing to his frazzled nerves. He rode at brisk canter through the somewhat well lit Park and noticed a peculiarity. A woman out alone, at night without a chaperone. He frowned as he tried to get a better glimpse of who she was and while doing so managed to completely miss the pedestrian he was about to run into. Aries reared in the air and Robert quickly gained him composure.
" Woah boy. Shh, it's alright." he soothed as the man gave him a dirty look. Robert returned it and wheeled his horse around in a graceful piroutte trying to calm the spirited beast down a bit.

Leila was almost asleep when she heard a commotion near her. It sounded like a startled horse. She opened her eyes and sat up, looking in the direction of the noise. She watched as the rider calmed his horse and smiled a bit at a memory. She thingyed her head to the side and watched the rider for a few moments before looking at the water again.
By now the water was free of visible animals. It almost looked like glass but the occasional breeze made a couple ripples in the water. She hugged her knees to her chest and watched the tranquil water for a while before glancing at the man on the horse again. He looked older than her. Probably late twenties, early thirties. And he looked stressed. Yes, extremely stressed. [/color]
