Robert had came to Vauxhall this evening for one purpose and one purpose only. To schmooze his colleagues for their support in a piece of legislation he was trying to pass through in the House of Lords. And it had been working for the most part, two allies, and three more maybe's. But there is only a certain amount of butt kissing a man can do before he must find a way to reassure himself of his own honorable place in society.
He was now wandering the gardens aimlessly observing lovers explore the mysteries of courtship with his own somewhat envious gaze. Robert had never been allowed to experience that kind of love. Robert had to take care of business, take care of family. And all Robert really wanted was someone to take care of him. But alas, old habits die hard and he struck with his own somewhat pessimistic outlook on life.
" Enjoy it while you can young ones. When your my age love is for fools." he whispered underneath his breath and continued on his way slowly sipping a class of champagne, almost ready to be on his way home, back to his piano and library.

Elizabeth had decided to go out this night indicated him to Jack, his coachman, that they should speak to Vauxhall Garden to walk along the garden and to see the persons who there were. It was known that it was dangerous that it was there alone, but he needed to go out.
She entered the wonderful garden where it perceived the delightful aroma of the flowers that were surrounding it. It was going without course, simply she was observing thinking up the passers-by who there were meeting. She closed the eyes thinking that was again in the field in the garden of the house of his parents where the day had happened along with the gardener.
Without realizing collide with something solid and warm, it opened the eyes and met a tall and brown man. His cheeks reddened." Oh .. excuses me ... ".She said feeling small next to you.

Robert had been reminiscing of his first time with his lady love, Lady Jacinda Santiago. A stunning Spanish beauty that had capitvated his heart and soul but was not considered good enough for a man of his stature. His father wanted him married to a good and proper English rose who was at least the daughter of a duke so that their children would be as blue blooded as they came. He and his father had actually came to blows over Lady Jacinda and his father ended up winning in the end. Lady Jacinda's family was paid to marry her off to an old family friend and Robert was never able to see her again. The collision with the young female had jolted him out of his memories and was promptly brought back to reality.
" Not at all mademoiselle, please forgive my clumsiness." he replied automatically as he was wont to do. He was polite and pleasant enough in society, but upon meeting new people he was not particuarly good at making a good first impression. He stepped to the side and let her pass thinking that she would rather go find someone her own age to converse with.
She was rather pretty upon further scrutiny, perhaps a trait that allowed her success in the social arena, but he was not familiar with her so obviously she wasn't all that well known because the Knight Family knew everyone in society. Robert's dukedom carried a lot of weight in London, entire shops shut down to cater to Robert and his money and he used it to spoil his family rotten sense everyone else snubs their noses at them.
" The gardens are rather pretty this time of night don't you think?" he asked pleasantly making conversation. Robert didn't mind people he was just under the constant assumption that they were judging him.

" Oh, does not blame has been mine " She said to the man. " It was bewildered by the ambients and I did not realize where it was going ". .She looked to him and contemplate a tall and athletic man, it dyed an aristocratic freightage that was going elegantly dressed. Looked at a few green eyes that were hiding too many things.
Elizabeth got ready absent-mindedly the hair, when it heard that he was asking him for the gardens, she looked at the surroundings contemplating the people who was walking around him and the fragrance that was coming from the flowers.
" Is it wonderful, does not he believe?. It had never come to this garden. I believe that the aroma of the flowers is delightful, me resembles the field. ". She said with joviality in his eyes while the black skirt was smoothed. " One forgot me, my name is Elizabeth Malory. "

Robert smiled and decided to surrender and let the lady take the blame. " Then all is forgiven and no harm done. Nothing bruised or broken so think nothing of it." he replied automatically. He loved the outdoors this time of night, perhaps he'd take his own magnificent stallion Aries out for a ride and breathe in the night air.
" Yes, it's quite lovely. I often come here to just to take in the general splendor of the surroundings. My gardens are just as grand but one takes pleasure in other good mannered company." he observed. It was true, next to the Royal Dukes and perhaps Auscion place Robert could boast of one of the most magnificent houses in all of London.
At the introduction Robert bowed slightly and returned the introduction. " A pleasure Lady Mallory. I am Robert Knight, Duke of Hawkscliffe." he returned with a small smile. Now that she knew his identity she'd probably run away out of sheer fear for her reputation. Robert was known as a paragon duke, honored obssesed and never a hair out of place. But his four brothers were often snubbed and looked down upon. Everyone knew the story of their mother's exploits and even treated his baby sister Amelia badly and she was of true blood.

Elizabeth when it heard that he was a Duke opened the eyes wonderingly. She had never met any. " Oh... Excellency " .She said while the black skirt was gathered and towards a wide reverence to the gentleman. " He is the first duke that I meet since it comes to London ".
She turned the looked away for the gardens and with a smile kept on speaking. " Does not the city seem to him wonderful? .With his gardens his museums, his dances. It is the first time that avenge to London and believe that it is a wonderful city. After spending to me the life in the field, it is a big change. Do not you believe? "
She said while was turning his looked to him with a wide smile in the lips and his blue eyes were shining of enthusiasm.

Robert laughed out loud at her shock at meeting a Duke. " Well now that you've met one, what do you think of us? I've always wondered what people's first impressions of me are. Usually they are overcome by my sheer magnanimous presence." he joked playfully, trying very hard to come out of his shell.
" London is pleasant enough, I've grown up here and have found that I enjoy the country life almost as much if not more than the city. I do enjoy a good ride through the country side. My political career takes a good deal of my time and I love the solitude and peace that the country side." he observed carefully.
" If this is your first time in London, where do you originally hail from?" he asked curiously. She seemed rather naive in her way, and unassuming and that wouldn't bode well for her in London if she didn't learn to toughen up.

" The truth is that was imagining to the dukes as the old man, with moustaches and with glasses, never to nobody as you. "
She said with blush while she was approaching a rose, inclined and inhale his aroma. In the same position raised the looked to him and answer . " I was born in a small village to the east of Hampshire. After marrying, I moved to the north of Dorset. And a few weeks ago I came to myself here.To begin a new life and topcoat not to return to the field. One is very well there but it ends up by being tiring. "
With a smile while the rose smelling again. " Must it have an immense house, not? " She said laughing.
